Deviation Actions
Description
We live every day through the collective data transmitted by the senses we govern. Without the evolution of these senses we simply wouldn't exist, we are our senses and our senses are us. But what happens when someone is placed in an environment void of all sensory influence?
Sensory deprivation focuses on the limitations of the human mind. Above is a young woman in an isolation tank, a lightless, soundproof tank containing a high epsom salt content and regulated at skin temperature. Floating in this tank rids the body of any external sensory influences, a defining contrast to the psychologically intense world we live in. Ive aimed to create a dreamy feel to this piece through the intense stare, floating hair and symmetrical features.
